Premium Zones redefined
From March 2025, parking in premium zones will cost Dh6 per hour during peak hours – 8AM to 10AM and 4PM to 8PM. These areas, strategically located near metro stations, business districts, and bustling shopping hubs, are designed to offer convenience in high-traffic areas. Standard parking fees across Dubai will remain at Dh4 per hour, providing affordable options for drivers.
Premium zones have been identified based on three main criteria: proximity to metro stations within 500 metres, high occupancy during peak times, and dense commercial activity.
New features on the horizon
The company’s upcoming AutoPay and PayLater features aim to simplify payment processes. Though details are yet to be revealed, these innovations could eliminate the need for immediate payments when parking. Parkin shared these updates on social media platform X, reiterating their commitment to innovation and service excellence.
Expansion beyond borders
Parkin’s ambitions aren’t confined to Dubai. The company has disclosed plans to expand operations into other emirates and even enter Saudi Arabia. Discussions with a Saudi-based conglomerate are underway to launch paid parking services in the Kingdom, marking a significant step towards regional growth.
In addition to enhancing parking infrastructure, select locations in Dubai will soon offer on-the-go automotive services. Drivers can expect car washing, refuelling, tyre checks, engine oil changes, and more at designated parking spots, making routine vehicle maintenance more convenient.
